The new mist collector from Hengst removes coolant mist from the air in CNC machine tools. The device creates a slight vacuum in the machine chamber to prevent the emission of excessive cooling lubricant aerosols during operation and upon opening of the doors. This significantly reduces the contamination level throughout the production hall. The three-stage filtration process is optimized for cooling lubricant aerosols and supports compliance with the immission limits set down e.g. in DGUV 109-003. A high-efficiency EC fan provides for low power consumption below that of most comparable devices. The fact that the first two filter stages can be repeatedly cleaned also helps to reduce operating costs. A protective anti-shear mechanism protects the main filter seal during installation and removal.
