The requirements for fuel purity to operate modern diesel engines are constantly increasing.
Hengst Filtration stays on top of the latest trends in engine technology and has developed a modular system for fuel filtration. It consists of basic variants available as standard and can be customized by five innovative add-ons.
Blue.maxx is a fuel filter system that is characterized in particular by very effective water separation and can be optimally adapted to any application.
The Blue.maxx modular system – basic variant:
Hengst Filtration offers four different Blue.maxx basic sizes for volume flows of 100, 200, 300 and 450 l/h.
The Blue.maxx modular system – add-ons:
The basic variants can be customized by different add-ons to meet the customer's individual requirements.
- WIF sensors
- Filter elements
Solid fuel pumps both electrical and manual driven are available for all base variants of our Blue.maxx fuel filters. Depending on the specific requirements of our customers, the fuel pumps can be optionally integrated into pre- and main-filters to ensure quick and easy filling of the fuel system after service.
The robust piston hand feed pump is able to pump 20 ml per stroke at a maximum suction hight of five meters: three times more than comparable membrane pumps.
The electrical pump is a robust brushless vane pump with guaranteed lifetime up to 4.000 hours. With an electrical voltage of 12V or 24V it is able to pump 250 l/h upwards.
Highly effective fuel heaters scalable in size and power can be optionally attached to each Blue.maxx fuel filter. Fuel heaters are used to ensure maximum engine power even in extreme cold environments by providing perfectly conditioned fuel.
Rod heaters with an electrical voltage of 12V or 24V are available for the small base variants - Blue.maxx 100 & 200.
For the bigger base variants - Blue.maxx 300 & 450 - ring heaters with 12V or 24V electrical voltage can be integrated.
All heater variants work perfectly in an operating temperature range of -40°C up to +120°C.
Intelligent water-in-fuel (WIF) sensors with and without integrated electronics can be optionally chosen. The WIF sensors give a water level indication in fuel pre-filters of diesel engines. The water is separated from the fuel flow to protect the injection systems of modern diesel engines.
Each Blue.maxx filter can be equipped on request with passive or active WIF sensors based on individual requirements of our customers.
Various hose connectors for frame-mounted and engine-mounted Blue.maxx filters can optionally be attached to the filter’s scope of supply. Hose connectors ensure a safe and leakage-free connection of the fuel filter to the engine, regardless of where the filter is mounted.
Blue.maxx filters from Hengst can be equipped with SAE, VOSS and ball-type quick connectors out of polyamide, brass or stell.
The Blue.maxx modular system offers a large selection of already developed and tested filters which are available at short notice. These premium filter elements are available with three different filter media - separation efficiency > 97% @ 4µm / 10µm / 30µm - for all Blue.maxx basic variants.
Blue.maxx pre-filters with water separation can be designed as single-stage and multi-stage variants. As a filtration specialist, Hengst can also implement any customer-specific special requirement.
