A medium introduced with the cyclone effect no longer flows directly at the filter element, but flows in tangentially to it and moves downward around it in a helical pattern. This patented feature transports heavy dirt particles to the outside and prevents premature blocking of the filter element. Depending on the flow velocity, coarse dirt residues collect at the bottom of the filter bowl under the filter element.
