The capture element is a pre-filter sited in the exhaust hood in the immediate vicinity of the patient. The pre-filter protects the extraction systems, captures the particles and aerosols produced, and separates them reliably. The low unit price allows the filter to be changed after each use, ensuring that no germs, bacteria or viruses spread from patient to patient. The users are also protected by the front filtration against biofilms and backflow from the extraction arm, which is thus protected against contamination.
The inline patient filter protects the extraction arm and the highly efficient downstream filters of the system from deposits such as drilling or grinding residues and biofilms. This not only makes the arms easier to clean, but also extends the replacement intervals of the comparatively cost-intensive extraction system filters.
