Hengst develops and manufactures filtration solutions for oil, fuel, intake air, cabin air and hydraulic media. As a development partner to leading automotive, commercial vehicle, agricultural and construction machinery manufacturers, we combine OEM expertise with rapid availability in the spare parts market. In addition to filters, we also offer other items for vehicles. Quality and standards as a basic principle
Filtration is strongly driven by standards - with different, sometimes overlapping regulations for each industry.
In the automotive sector, ISO 5011, ISO 4548, ISO 19438, SAE J1488 and ISO 11155 regulate testing, flanked by IATF 16949. Building services engineering uses DIN EN ISO 16890, ISO 29463 and EN 1822. Industry and manufacturing work with EN 60335-2-69, OSHA 1910.1053 and 1926.1153, ISO 16890 as well as EU 1935/2004 and FDA. Food and beverages follow e.g. EU 1935/2004 and FDA 21 CFR, for medical devices it is e.g. DIN EN ISO 13485.
