Situation: Integrity problems with bag filters

In the Turkish bottling plant of a global soft drinks manufacturer, classic bag filters are used to filter the water used. Due to the high load, the bag filters ruptured during the process and contaminated the bottling process. In addition, the filters were changed at least once a week. The result:

The manufacturer used the pleated bag filter L-PP-PB-A-Bag from Hengst at the Turkish plant. With the pleated filter medium, the L-PP-PB-A-Bag offers significantly higher stability than a simple filter bag. This ensures process integrity even with a high volume flow. Another benefit of the pleat technology is a low differential pressure. This leads to a significantly longer service life.
The filters are designed in such a way that a retrofit with the existing housing is directly possible and no adjustments to the equipment were necessary.
