Morecambe is a small town with a population of around 35,000 in the county of Lancashire, directly west of Lancaster on Morecambe Bay.

Morecambe is connected to Lancaster via a branch line and Morecambe Road and to the M6 highway via the Bay Gateway. Lancaster is well connected to Manchester via Preston via both the M6/M61 and the Transpennine Express and Northern Rail lines.

We opened our Health Care site in Morecambe in December 2025. Previously, our British subsidiary Hengst Filtration UK Ltd. was based in Preston, 45 kilometers away, as an independent company, International Filtration Solutions (IFS).

In Morecambe, around 75 employees develop and produce innovative filtration solutions for medical technology and occupational safety. The heart of the building with production, warehouse and offices is the 500 square meters of ISO class 8 cleanroom space on two floors. This is where we manufacture filtration solutions for medical products to the highest standards.
