Münster/Preston. The Hengst Group is pressing ahead with its strategic development. The goal is clearly defined: To create innovative solutions for a clean and healthy future. With the complete takeover of the British group of companies International Filtration Solutions Ltd (IFS), consisting of the companies Medical Filtration Solutions Ltd (MFS) and Air Filtration Solutions Ltd (AFS), Hengst is specifically strengthening its expertise in the field of Health Care Filtration.
MFS is an established provider of patient-oriented medical filtration solutions. Among other things, the company develops and produces respiratory, anesthesia and insufflation filters based on its proprietary HEPAC® technology, which combines high-performance media such as glass fiber and activated carbon.
AFS complements the portfolio with a wide range of respiratory protection solutions, including particle masks, half and full face masks as well as blower respiratory protection systems that are effective against gases, vapors and particles. The company is also a leader in the development of antimicrobial filter media and innovative technologies.
"With the acquisition of IFS, we are sending a clear signal: Hengst is investing in the future - in technologies that protect lives, make processes safer and enable sustainable solutions," explains Oliver Nabrotzky, Group Vice President at Hengst Filtration. "We look forward to setting new standards in the field of Health Care Filtration together with our new colleagues and partners worldwide."
Brett Smyth, the new Managing Director of IFS, is also positive about the collaboration: "As an independent company, IFS brings a strong portfolio of market-leading respiratory protection solutions and medical filters to the Hengst Group. The integration opens up new opportunities for us - especially through access to global markets and Hengst's technological strength. This is a great opportunity for our team to develop and grow together."
